WOLVERHAMPTON STEAM SHOW
6th and 7th June 2009
Here are a few photos for your delight! However, it wasn't quite as delightful as we had hoped, the rain never stopped belting down and there were puddles inside our marquee amongst the exhibits so most of us had webbed feet by the time the weekend was over.

Lynda's lovely Marmet Coniston, isn't she elegant!

My very special Wilson Antibes "Bird of Paradise" in her BRG livery and cream and green fluffy cover

Another favourite! My beautiful garnet Wilson Egremont complete with matching set
Annette Lobban's 1979 SilverCross Super Burley originally purchased for her daughter Mhairie and now used for Mhairie's new daughter Isla

Lynda's Osnath Duchess with it's beautiful swan-necked handles

Fiona Hook's wonderful vintage Victorian French pram, restored by Fiona and her husband Steve

Lynda's famous "Flower Pram" which is actually a SilverCross Empress from around 1947

Sandra Hilton's longed-for Marmet Lady. What a lovely sight!

My 1900 Kirkland pram on the stand and Jackie's Victorian pram with it's very special twisted brass handles.

Lorraine (Prams of Distinction) brought her stunning Wilson Marquise complete with its matching parasol and quilt - and winning rosette!

Julie Grimshaw's beautiful Wilson Pastorale in white with burgundy hood and apron, a smashing combination to pick out the colours on the swag of flowers.

An unusual pram - a 1959 Manton Ventnor in immaculate condition - kindly given to me by Sheila Waterfield from Braunstone Town, in Leicestshire. Sheila tells me her pram was in constant use from 1959 until 1964 for her four children. She certainly looked after it really well and it is a credit to her.

Lynda's precious Wilson Pastorale in an unusual green livery, very different but beautiful
When the rain eventually stopped at 3pm on Sunday we managed to take our prams out into the park for a stroll and a photocall
Debbie arranging the Marmet Queen
Me, with the Bird of Paradise, late as per usual!
Doesn't a sight like this make you smile?
Jackie and Debbie doing their garden gnome impressions!

Part of the display

Some of the very brave people who came from far and wide to bring their prams to exhibit
From l to r - Sian, Jane, Norman Sandra and Fiona

Annette from Scotland taking some photos, her husband Michael in the background talking to Valerie who came all the way from Canada

The downpour didn't totally dampen our spirits! Here's Lorraine with her Marmet Queen, Jackie with her Millsons and Debs with my Manton Ventnor

Daniel - Lynda's lovely son - doing his "Singing in the Rain" bit!
The weather on the way to the show on Sunday morning - it was unbelievable!
Kathryn, Lynda's daughter, growing up into a very enthusiastic prammie!

Valerie - she was waiting for a fireman, but I think they had disappeared into the beer tent!

Trying to get warm in the tea-room with hot chocolate - yes the date is June 7th!!!
